The PGA Tour put a spotlight on men’s’ golf apparel with a focus on a few key trends that you can expect to see on the course this year.
Here are the top spring/summer trends from the PGA Tour:
- Baseball-Style Collars — Taking a design cue from the trend of bomber jackets, this minimalist collar style was seen on Hideki Matsuyama and Rickie Fowler. You can find this baseball style collar on polo shirts and technical jackets alike from some of the top brands in golf apparel.
- Floral — For the fashion forward, floral prints have added a tropic punch to golf apparel this season. Daisuke Kataoka was seen showcasing a muted variation on this trend on the course for the less daring, or you could take inspiration from Billy Horschel and rock large-scale floral designs.
- Solar Sleeves — Sun protection is serious business, especially on the golf course. While most technical fabric golf apparel does include SPF protection, many players at the PGA TOUR wore solar sleeves with their polos to block harmful UV rays and stay dry and cool in the sun.

The Pantone Color of the Year for 2018 is Ultraviolet, a shade associated with visionary thinking, ingenuity, and originality. Brands like G/FORE, Greyson, and Ralph Lauren have already included this bold shade in their Fall 2018 collections.
